A short bus trip the the Vatican enabled us to meet with Father Bikino. He answered our questions honestly and left everyone feeling that he was an intelligent and reasonable man. After our visit, at which we sat at a large oval table, each with a microphone, we went shopping for holy symbols to decorate our schools. I purchased a large image of the Holy family on wood, some posters, Confirmation medals for the Year 6’s and Mary prayer cards for the staff.
We went back to ACU in Travestere for our daily 12:30 mass and lunch of antipasto, pasta and fruit.
After lunch we enjoyed working in groups to explore the benedictine, Franciscan and Ignatian spiritualities, all arising as a result of their context in history and all still flourishing today. A very hot 38 degrees today so an early night in the air conditioning!
