Our early morning bus trip to Assisi led us to an overnight stay at the Hotel Giotto. The views were spectacular as we walked the narrow, cobbled laneways beneath colourful terra corra potted plants.
in Assisi we had tours of the Basilica of St Chiara, who worked closely with St Francis of Assisi.
The Basilica of St Francis was wonderful and I had a photo taken with my favourite image of Francis with the birds. he said that when people wouldn’t listen, he’d speak to the birds. The day concluded with a wonderful meal overlooking the view and drinks, a walk and a drink on the Hotel Giotto balcony.
